Aru’s new Rhino Royále restaurant!
One of the worries travelers have when being in “the bush” is what will they eat? Further than that, travellers often worry about whether or not the food will be good.
None of us minds a bit of roughing it using the braai when we have a 4×4 hire, but what about when we want to stay at a lodge? Are there lodges out there that have an excellent place to eat?
Who is Aru?
Aru Game Lodges are a group of lodges in the heart of Namibia – a family-run safari company with an impressive commitment to sustainable, ethical practices, proven wildlife and habitat conservation efforts, stellar customer service and attention to every detail.
Aru offers two unique, well-appointed lodges — Kalakwa Lodge and Veronica Lodge — both a short drive from Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. Home to a long list of native big game species and encompassing 53 000 hectares of savannah, grassland, bushveld, koppies, mountains and dunes, these picturesque properties offer Aru’s guests a perfect mix of the very best wild country and game in Namibia.
Guests are treated to luxury, elegance and privacy. Five-star cuisine. Star-filled skies. Relaxing campfires and tales of the day’s adventures. The Rhino Royale
The Rhino Royále is located in one of the most beautiful areas of the reserve. This fine dining restaurant set deep in the wilds of Namibia makes for an evening of extraordinary food with wine pairing delivering a sensational, never-before-seen Namibian experience. With limited dates that it operates, reservations are key. An attractive three day weekend package with flights from South Africa included is now available.
As Anna Thomas once said: “We all eat, and it would be a sad waste of an opportunity to eat badly.”
You may be wondering how a restaurant so far from the town can produce fresh and exciting food?
The Aru team has worked hard to source the majority of their food directly from the farm and its surroundings – this means that all ingredients are of the highest and freshest quality that one can find.
They also have a carefully curated herb garden to add that extra bit of flavour. Pair this with some of the best chefs you can find, and you have a winner. It is no wonder their reviews include the “exceptional” food that guests have received.
Aru Game Lodges is a great place to relax and experience the wild. It may take some travel to get there but it is an experience like no other. With the wilderness around you, so many animals and food that will leave you wanting more.
Aru Game Lodges should be top of your list of travelling and their friendly, well-trained staff will be eager to assist you. Namibia is a great place to escape and is one of the best places to Social Distance.
